What Duke does
Duke is your AI teammate inside DukeOS: it answers questions from your data, drafts work, prepares changes for your approval, answers customers and works toward your goals.
Duke is the AI teammate built into DukeOS. It works inside every app, with the same permissions as the person it's working for, and it never changes anything important without a person's approval.
Five ways Duke helps
| What it is | Where | |
|---|---|---|
| Ask | Ask anything about your business and get answers from your own data. Ask it to draft messages, tasks and changes | The Ask Duke button, the ask box on the Dashboard, Assistant. See Asking Duke |
| On duty | It answers customers who write on WhatsApp, day and night, within the rules you set | Duke on duty. See Duke on duty |
| Goals | Give it a number and a date; it makes a plan and works on it every day | Goals. See Goals |
| Jobs | AI agents: jobs in plain words that run on a schedule | Duke's work. See AI agents |
| Insights | A daily read of what needs attention in your numbers | Insights. See Insights |
It can also answer from your documents, and it can build custom pages, fields, roles and menu changes for you when you ask.
How Duke stays safe
- It sees only what you can see. Duke has no permissions of its own. When the front desk asks it something, it answers from what the front desk is allowed to see.
- Changes wait for you. When Duke wants to change something (add a task, send a message, move a lead), it shows you exactly what it'll do and waits for Approve.
- Everything is recorded. Every change Duke makes is in the audit log with who approved it.
- Your customers' words are just words. Instructions hidden inside an email, a WhatsApp message or a document never change Duke's rules.

What Duke costs
Duke uses AI credits from your plan; one credit is about one short question. You can also use your own AI key. See AI credits and your own key.
