Your website: pages, shop, booking and publishing
Every business gets a public website built from sections and filled from your app: prices, classes, products and listings stay up to date. Edit on the page, check what changed, then publish.
On this page
Every business gets a public website at its own address (yourname.dukeos.app, or your own domain). You build each page from sections, and sections marked live fill themselves from your app, so prices, classes, products and listings are always current. Enquiries, bookings and orders land in your app.
Open the editor
Open Website in the menu. Your page sits big in the middle, with one panel on the left. The icons beside the panel open This page (its sections), Pages, Menu, Styles, Settings and Duke. Anything you open in the panel has a Back arrow.
The bar at the top has the page picker, Undo and Redo, Computer and Phone views, Preview, Ask and Publish. Every change is saved to your draft straight away; visitors don't see it until you publish. Undo and redo cover everything you changed on this visit: sections, the menu, styles and settings.
Start from a template
Under Styles, choose a free template (Calm, Bold, Classic or Fresh). It changes your home page's layout and look in the draft. Your words, photos, address and hours stay, and your brand colour from Settings → Brand is kept.
Change words and photos on the page
Click a section on the page to choose it. Its settings open in the panel, in two tabs: Words and photos and Look. Click any words on the page and type; press Enter to finish or Esc to put the words back. On a Banner or Photo and text, click Replace photo.
The small bar on a chosen section lets you move it, Duplicate it, hide it, remove it or ask Duke about it.
Add and arrange sections
- Click Add here between two sections (on the page or in the list), or Add a section.
- Search, describe what you want, or pick from the four groups:
- Start here: Banner (big photo, heading and buttons), Text, Photo and text, Photos and Big button (one line and a button).
- From your app (live): Prices (your plans and services), Classes (coming classes and places left), Shop (products, photos and stock) and Listings (records of one of your own pages, like properties or courses).
- Build trust: Team, Reviews, Testimonials and Questions.
- Get in touch: Address and contact, Opening hours, Form (one of your forms) and Chat and booking.
- A blue line on the page shows where it lands.
Drag sections in the list to reorder them. Items inside a section, such as team members, reviews, quotes and footer links, drag too. Sections for apps you don't use aren't offered.
Ask Duke about one section
Choose a section and click Ask. Pick Shorter, Warmer, Add our city or In Hindi, or type what you want. Duke shows the old words crossed out above the new ones. Click Use this to change the section, Try again for another go, or No thanks. Nothing changes until you choose Use this.
Pages
Under Pages, each page shows its address and whether it's In the menu, Not in the menu, Hidden or Not published. Its cog opens the page's settings: name, address, menu name, whether it's hidden, and how it looks on Google and when shared. You can Duplicate or delete a page there too.
A new page starts from Empty, About us, Contact or Services and prices, or Duke writes it for you. New pages join the menu only when you add them.
The menu
Under Menu, drag items to put them in order. An item can go to a page, a section on a page, booking, the shop, WhatsApp, a phone number, an email address or another website. Drag an item under another to make a dropdown (one level). Hide an item to keep it in the list without showing it. Pages not in the menu lists the pages you can Add to the menu.
The Top of every page (logo and member sign-in) and the Bottom of every page (address, hours and social links) are under Settings.
On a phone
On a phone, the page is on top and the panel below. You can change words and photos, reorder sections and edit the menu. Typing straight on the page and the fuller style choices are on a computer.
Booking and the shop
Under Settings:
- Booking classes: visitors who aren't members yet can book a class. Set the price of one class for visitors, and tick Ask them to pay online when they book to take payment. Off: they book for free and pay when they arrive. Members book in the customer app.
- Shop orders: a Delivery charge per order (leave it empty for free delivery). Customers can always pick up their order from you.
- Emails to customers: booking, payment and order emails go out in your business's name, and replies come to you. Switch any off, or choose your own wording.
Paying online needs online payments. Without it, booking is free and products show “Ask about this”. A booking or order that isn't paid within 15 minutes is cancelled, and its place or stock is freed.
Publish
- Click Publish. You'll see What changed since you last published, page by page, and Quick checks: an empty page, a team member without a photo, a button or menu item going to a hidden or missing page, a form section with no form and so on.
- Click Fix next to a check to go straight to it, or Publish anyway. Checks only warn; they never stop you.
- Your website is live: copy the address, open it, or share it on WhatsApp.
A business that hasn't published yet shows a branded “coming soon” page with sign-in for members and staff.
Older versions
Under Settings → Older versions, see each version you published, when and by whom. Look at a page from it, or restore it: it's copied into your draft (pages it didn't have are hidden, not deleted), and nothing goes live until you publish.
Ask Duke
Duke can add pages and sections, write words, change the menu and the styles, check the site before you publish and restore an older version, for example “Add an Offers page to my website with a banner, our current offers and a booking button.” It shows you the change first, and publishing always needs your approval.
Good to know
- Your website's address is your business's address: `/` is your website, and your team's app is at `/app`. Sign-in is at `/login` and the member area at `/member`.
- Who can edit the draft and who can publish depends on their role.
- Product details show on the shop only for fields you mark Show on your website.
Ask Duke inside the app, or write to us and a person will help.
