Menu editor: arrange the menu for your team

Rename, reorder, group and hide menu items for everyone in your business.

The menu editor lets you arrange the menu the way your team works: rename pages (for example Contacts to Members), reorder them, group them and hide the ones you don't use. The layout applies to everyone in your business.

Change the menu

  1. Go to Settings and choose Menu.
  2. For each item you can:
    • Type a new name in its box (up to 40 characters).
    • Move it to another group with the group list.
    • Move it up or down with the arrows.
    • Hide or show it with the eye button. Hidden items are dimmed. The Dashboard can't be hidden.
  3. Rename a group by typing in its name. A group with no name sits at the top of the menu. Click Add group to make a new one.
  4. Click Save menu. Everyone sees the new menu straight away.

To undo everything, click Reset to standard. Your order, names, groups and hidden items are removed, and the menu goes back to the standard groups: Customers & Sales, Messages & Marketing, Money, Daily work, Products & Shop, your people and team (for example Members & Team), Reports and Your pages.

Good to know

  • Hiding a page from the menu doesn't stop people opening it. Who can open a page is set by their role. See Roles & permissions.
  • People only ever see pages they're allowed to use, whatever the menu says.
  • New apps and new custom pages appear in their usual group until you place them.
  • There's one menu for the whole business; menus per role aren't available.
