Customer app: what your members see

Members sign in with an emailed code to see their plan and visits and book classes, in your brand, installable on their phone.

On this page

The customer app (called Member area in DukeOS) gives your members their own app in your brand. They sign in with an emailed code, no password, and see their plan, their visits and their classes.

Switch it on

An owner switches on Member area in Settings, with its switch. It works with your contacts, and shows memberships, visits and classes if those apps are on.

How members sign in

There's no invitation to send. Any contact with an email address can sign in:

  1. They open your business's address followed by /member (for example yourbusiness.dukeos.app/member).
  2. They enter their email and tap Send me a code.
  3. They enter the 6-digit code from the email and tap Sign in.

The code works for 10 minutes. They stay signed in for 30 days.

What members see

  • Your plan: their plan, until when, and how many days are left. When it's ending they can renew online if you take online payments, or at the front desk.
  • Your visits: a grid of the last 4 weeks of check-ins.
  • Your classes: what they've booked.
  • Book a class: the classes for the next 7 days. They can Book, join the Waitlist when a class is full (they get the next free place), or cancel.
Pulse Fitness Studio demo: booking a class

If you use memberships, members can only book days their membership covers. Once a class has started, they need to ask you to cancel.

In your brand

The app uses your business name, logo and colour from Settings → Brand, where you'll also see a preview.

Add it to the home screen

Members see a card offering to add the app to their home screen. On Android (Chrome or Edge) they tap Install the app. On iPhone they tap Share in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen.

Check in at the door

If you use Attendance, members check in by scanning the poster at your door with their phone. They stay signed in on that phone, one phone at a time.

What members can't do yet

Members can't see invoices or edit their details in the app. Changes they make (bookings, cancellations and renewals) are recorded in the audit log as made by the member.
